Ed Hanchett
Ed Hanchett started his medical career in 1979 as a Radiologic Technologist after graduating from CVPH in Plattsburgh, NY. He continued his education with a Bachelor’s degree in 1981 from St. Joseph’s College in Standish, Maine and a Master’s degree in 2000 from SUNY Plattsburgh. In addition he has attended the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership Program in 2000 and Cornell University’s Johnson Business School for the HANYS Academy for Healthcare Leadership Advancement in 2011.
Ed is currently the Administrative Director of Medical Imaging and the Interim Executive Director of the C.R. Wood Cancer Center. He has worked at Glens Falls Hospital for 31 years in a variety of roles. In 2003 Ed received the People Leadership Award in which he was nominated by staff and selected by Senior Management as a leader that best demonstrates the qualities of Service, Recognition, Visibility, Trust, Proactivity and Communication.
Ed has been active in numerous committees at GFH and has served on several boards including Caritas for over 10 years and Parks Heritage FCU for 20 plus years. He is a strong believer in the role of community organizations especially non-profits and supports their mission in various ways. Ed and his wife Kathleen live in Queensbury with their two daughters Lydia and Isabelle.
