Peter J. Cayan, MA, RD, CDN, DHCFA
Peter Cayan has more than 30 years experience as a Director of Food and Nutrition Services and as a senior executive in healthcare businesses. He is the Senior Director of Support Services for Glens Falls Hospital in Glens Falls, New York. His functional responsibilities include administering a $15 million budget and leading a staff of 210 FTE’s from six service and support departments.
Prior to his current role he served for 11 years in progressive executive sales and consulting roles for U.S. Foodservice, working his way up to Vice President of Healthcare Sales. In that role, he was responsible for more than $2 billion in sales from 50+ distribution facilities in the continental United States.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Food and Nutrition, a Master of Arts in Food Service Administration and completed post-graduate studies in management information systems and inferential statistics. In addition, he is a Registered Dietitian and served as Food Service Director for the 1980 Winter Olympic Games in Lake Placid, New York.
